Abstract

The paper will present the Women’s Movement 2020 project, which was implemented at the Institute of Literature and Art in Belgrade within the department specializing in the study of periodicals. The project was launched on the occasion of the one hundred years of the founding and first issue of the Women’s Movement magazine (1920-1938). It is the first Yugoslav feminist magazine, as well as the longest-running interwar feminist periodical. The project involved several stages: 1) preparation of the journal bibliography; 2) digitalization of the journal corpus; 3) the organization of an international scientific meeting dedicated to this journal; 4) publication of proceedings from the meeting; 5) creation of a website dedicated to the magazine and the project (www.zenskipokret.org). On the example of this project, the relationship between periodical studies and digital humanities will be considered and the challenges and advantages of meeting the digital space with analog materials will be shown.
